Welcome to Aoraki Performance Academy! We are an online community designed for classical guitarists to practice performing, receive constructive feedback, and connect with like-minded musicians, in a supportive and encouraging environment.

Whether you're preparing for an upcoming performance, working towards a goal, or simply looking for more opportunities to perform, Aoraki Performance Academy provides a space to gain experience and grow as a musician.

Co-founded by Lora Kurusa (Hungarian Classical Guitarist, Educator and Performance Coach - https://lorakurusaguitarist.com/) and Michael Stoop, Aoraki is built on the belief that performing is a skill in its own right - one that deserves to be practiced. 

We run small online performance meetings, giving each participant dedicated time to perform and receive support.

The Foundation: Perform

For those who are seeking opportunities to practice performing, in a supportive and encouraging environment. Participants who perform at online meetings receive recordings of their performances to keep and reflect on. 

The Elevation: Perform + Feedback

For those who want to actively improve their performance. Includes everything in The Foundation, plus personalised written feedback from both Michael and Lora. Michael focuses on technique and musicality, while Lora focuses on performance skills and confidence.

The Summit: Perform + Feedback + Coaching

For those wanting the most comprehensive support. Includes everything in The Elevation, plus a half-hour individual lesson with Michael and a half-hour individual lesson with Lora, combining technical guidance with dedicated performance coaching.
